It's time for another Monday Made It with Tara! Today's project is for my home, but I got the idea when I was at school. You know how your students always want to help you? Well on the last day of school I had Help Wanted written on my dry erase board with like 30 end of year jobs listed under it. My students came in and went right to work! (Clean desks inside and out, take down bulletin boards, remove staples, etc.) Here is my home invention:
We've only been off for a few days and my kids are already asking for money to go here and buy this, so I thought about the jobs around the house that they could earn money for and made this poster. The print is 11x14 and I bought the frame at Hobby Lobby. I used dry erase marker to write the jobs on the glass of the frame.
As I'm typing this blog post, my children spotted the board and claimed two jobs immediately! So, I had to take another picture for you to see!
My husband doesn't think it will last, but I figure even if it lasts for a few weeks, I'm happy! I already told my 9th grader I'm not funding his summer entertainment, so he's all for it! He wants money to go to the mall and movies with his friends. I just have to stick to my guns and not give him any money without him earning it. I just reached 300 followers! I'm so excited! I'm setting up a giveaway, so if you missed my post and you'd like to donate I'd greatly appreciate it! Just complete the form below-I'd like to get it up by the end of the week.
Check out all the other great ideas at Tara's linky party!
