Five For Friday!

It's Friday, so it's time to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching...it's been a busy week, but not sure if I can come up with five things to blog about! The main reason I wanted to post today was to tell you how exciting it was to meet my first bloggy friend in real life!!! Jess from I Heart Recess and I met up today at the park so the kids could play. She was visiting her sister who lives a few minutes from me! (small world isn't it??!!) We talked about 3 hours straight while the kids wore themselves out! We hit it off right away, just like we've been friends forever! It was an awesome and unexpected meet up and she promised to meet up again when she visits! Can't wait!

Dance recitals are over! Such a nice way to end the "dance" year, but lots of work!

We got to celebrate at Texas Roadhouse, where Lily got to ride on the saddle for her late birthday dinner! (Do you think she liked it??!!)

I got these two babies in the mail! If You Find a Rock was suggested to me by my BBB Jessica-very happy with this purchase! Notice and Note was suggested by a few friends and I can't wait to get a few minutes to actually sit down and read some of it!

 I had Common Core training all week-so I guess my summer officially started today! It was nice to see some old friends and meet new friends! I love when teachers get together and collaborate! One of our activities was to design an experiment and create a science board for it...I just wanted to share one of the boards that had a foldable on it...I liked how each member of their group shared their hypothesis on it. (never have seen this before)-our 5th graders complete science fair projects.
